Mountain Shore Properties is targeting a first quarter 2018 start and has released an image for its Hyatt House project planned for SoBro.
The Charleston, South Carolina-based hotel development company previously had hoped for a late September start on the project.
Company principal Stephen Wendell said the construction will require 18 to 24 months, with the goal to have the hotel open in fall 2019.
Mountain Shore is conducting discussions with prospective general contractors, he said.
“After what has seemed like a very long time trying to get a deal done in Nashville, we’re extremely excited to start construction on what we feel will be a fantastic project,” Wendell said.
